Five elements- The Earth

            This is the last element from the five elements of Feng Shui, and is not the Last, because it’s less significant or powerful as the other elements, somehow it just turned out to be my last. This element has a great stabilizing and centering  energy.  Having this element present in your home,  will center the positive energy, and will strengthen trust, patience, love, and even support  healthy eating habits. Earth is fueled by fire, so you can use any fire related item when decorating this area of your home. This energy of the earth exists to help! Only this element has the ability to center the energy, and give a boost to all other energies.

It is safe,  stabile , solid, unexplainable, and mystical. The movement of the earth shaped our world, created mountains, seas, United and divided landscapes.

         It can be the symbol of growth, but also can hold the energies back,  and force to a slow movement. This elements energy is the inner energy of our planet, the kind of energy which shapes the surface of our Earth, so it’s definitely not the last one because its insignificance.

                Increase earth element in your home  if you feel like love is missing from your life, not only a true partner, but all the love you should be able to give and receive from the people around you. I will definitely take my time when writing about the Feng Shui love corner, now I’d stick to the topic, and  write about the earth element, and you make sure to come back to this post when you’re reading about the Love Feng Shui corner, ( I’ll try not to forget to link this post ). If you or your children are learning, but somehow are unable to learn effective, you can, and should , incorporate this element in your home, as besides the love corner, earth fuels the energy of the Knowledge corner as well.

You can use the following information, deco items,  and all the tips and tricks, to incorporate earth energy into your environment:

• This energy is related to the center.( If you use a Bagua based on the nine squares , than the number 5, in the center also considered as the chi is represented by the earth energy.) you can read my post about the Bagua and Lou Pan here :  https://modernlifefs.blogspot.com/2019/08/my-researches-show-that-90-percent-of.html
• The Number 2 and 4 are attributed to the earth energy as well.
• Compass direction for this element is the northeast and the southwest.
• One of the most exiting Feng Shui corner is attributed to this element,  and that is The Love area, but  the Knowledge corner is also represented by the earth element.
• Saturn, the Giant planet is considered to represent the earth element.
• As for virtue we can name, unconditional trust, and as a negative effect its slowing energy.

• Colors that represent this element are the browns, yellows, and nudes as well.
• These Colors you can use, are the colors of earth, as  the soil  itself, and not as a planet.( there would be a multitude of colors to use if referring to the colors of the planet) 
• The Shapes  of this element are the square and rectangular objects.
• Massive, and secure elements of decoration, like a heavy statue, or a huge flowerpot, obviously with a healthy plant in it.

• Anything in the colors and shapes I mentioned, can be used in this area, use your personal style, and display the things you truly like. Remember a good Feng Shui does not have to look like a Chinese massage salon.

• You can add fire elements, like the color red, ( as well as any other color which represents the fire element )  to this section, because Fire  feeds earth. And we all know that the universal color for love is red.  

• If you feel like your dreams and aspirations won’t come true, you might need to increase the fire element instead of the earth element, in that case you give a boost to that stable earth  energy.
• It is the best place to study! 
• Terra-cotta is your friend when decorating with the earth element, as well as gemstones, crystals, rocks. So don’t hesitate to display all your flowerpots and terra-cotta items, and in the Knowledge area empty pots and vases are welcome. As symbols to gather information and store all your knowledge.

• Pictures of mountains,  valleys, the dunes of Egypt, and even the pyramids are a great way to activate this element. 

• You can use any incorporation of the owl, to symbolize the knowledge, a picture, your kids drawing, statue, deco item, you name it.
• Marble also  is transmitting earth energy,.

• Bonsai in a terra cotta will increase the earth energy, but having a rock garden in the northeast or southeast corner of your house will also give a boost to that grounding energy.
• Have various empty terra-cottas or simple vases where you can accumulate the knowledge.
• Patterns that are related with earth, are the horizontal lines on a textile or on walls.
• Increase  its power with the help of fire, and you can control its abundance with the help of wood.
• Activities like mountain climbing or going into caves , will also provide you with earth energy, and once fueled it last for a long time, but make sure you always restock your energies, specially those which are supposed to give you grounding and stability.

• Earth represents the mother in the family. Mother Earth.
• Lowlands, and plainness generate earth energy, just like the amphitheater of hills, deck roofed buildings, and factory halls.
• The presence of this energy in your home, makes sure, you have a straight, clean and harmonious life, and its absence will make you lethargic, and without any  purpose.
• If you,( you and not your home or office, you as a person) have little or not at all of this energy inside you, you might become selfish, only care for yourself, you might look only for your benefits in a friendship. Can also relate to your financial status, the less grounding energy, the more will money flow out of your hands.( remember how earth holds water? Water stays for money....do the math.)
• On the other hand, when you’ve got way to much earth energy inside you, you might   become selfless and uninterested, you might turn into a frigid person, or someone who is not able to change its situation. If you feel like this, like you’re unable to make progress, and you stand around like a spare prick at a wedding... use metal element based items to get yourself in the move, as metal exploits the earth, it will take away the excess what’s causing all your troubles.

 As the Five element series has come to an end, I just hope it was a source of help for you guys to be able to look at your environment from a different point of view.
