Cristal series. Amber

                                        Amber

Amber isn’t  a mineral, or crystal,  Is a biological product of nature,   fossilized over millions of years. Produced by the tree to protect and heal itself in case of broken branches, or injury  caused by fungi or insects.  In the process of forming, Amber can embrace insects, tree residues, leafs and ensure that they are perfectly preserved for  eternity within its golden structure. They harden; and as over  time the Forrests fall, and are carried to the oceans by rivers, these fossilized resins become one with the ocean floor,  where undergo another million years long of change,  then get washed out to the shores , were there were originally found by humans.
Most Amber is about 30 to 90 Million years old,  some less then a million and the oldest ever found is 320 million years old.Not all resins are authentic Amber, most are to young to be called Amber,  sometimes Copal, a young tree resin, what is mostly used in incense, is marketed as Amber. Copal becomes sticky if alcohol or acetone drops on it. Original Amber shows a color change under Uv light,  and  intense reflections under sunlight, blue  Amber is highly fluorescent. If someone wants to sell you a piece of Amber with a perfectly preserved, perfect spider in it, it’s probably fake, such pieces are extraordinary unique, and are kept in museums, and if they would be on sell, it would be quite expensive.
It’s history goes back to the Stone Age, it was highly valued for its unique warm beauty, and magical healing powers. Is the oldest gem of earth, the most desired one  of them all. Throughout history many names were attributed to Amber, like Drops of the Sun, Gold of the Sea, Tears of the god, or even solidified sunlight. Carries  immense Life Force inside, as It has a strong connection to the sun. Has an unique golden yellow color, but also can be found in all shades of honey  and from pale yellow through orange to brown.  Red, green, and blue ambers are rare, and very searched for.
If you touch  an Amber, it’s warmth will warm up your entire soul, is very light to hold, as if you were holding a piece of divinity in the palm of your hands, it becomes electrically charged, when rubbed, and ignites really easy. Recently Amber was found in Indonesia, and Sumatra, but it mainly comes from Russia,  Europe , and Mexico.
Over thousands of years,  Amber was used  to heal the soul and the body, many healing attributes are lost,  or practiced  remotely, but properties which resisted the passing of  time, make Amber such a valuable gem.
Green Amber is believed to bring immortality and luck.
Blue Amber was believed to control spirits of air, fire and water.

Amber is one of my favorite gems among all, I do love a bunch of them, but somehow it touches me deeper than any other one.
I wear an amber on me   almost all the time, it comforts me, keeps me going, and also calms my toddler, believe it or not.
My child does not have an amber necklace for teething , simply because those tiny teeth mainly came out unnoticed, they never made my child hurt or sick, I strongly believe it’s because me having the amber on me all the time, throughout pregnancy and delivery to. It’s is wiser for the mother to wear a gemstone, this tiny creatures are not ready for such an immense power , not to say there is always a possibility of choking.... anyways I chose to wear the Amber for my child, I did wear it prior to my pregnancy to, but as I began my journey to motherhood I decided to have an amber on me always for my child, and it did wonders, no fevers, no pains, and a  balanced toddler.( we still  have the  tantrums to keep us busy, but working on that to.)
With that said, wish you the best, let your soul be warmed in this season of cold by a precious amber.
 Have a lovely week.🕉
