9 methods to activate the universal energy
9 methods to activate the energy
- Anything, that shines, reflects, and lights; lamps, mirrors and crystals.
Make sure every lamp is a working on in your house, to keep the energy floating.
Avoid vibrating lights, and sharp cool colors, if you choose to have a colorful source of light, aim for the warmer És more pleasant colors.
Light sources stop the negative energies coming from a dark place, slows the energy down, so it won’t become negative ( a to fast energy flow, is like a cutting knife) and also invites the energy up, in case of stairs at your entrance.
Mirrors
are the most used Feng Shui item, all around the world.
They stop the negative energy, and convert it to positive, and that spread it around he premises.
They optically open up any space,
The effects of using a mirror in Feng Shui, depends on the intention we have, so know exactly, why you put a mirror in a certain place. ( it doubles everything, )
Placed at your entrance, stops any negative energy that would enter your home; placed above the dining table, duplicates the food you have on the table, (no, it doesn't mean you're going to eat twice as much,)
Also duplicates our ambitions, and endurance.
If a mirror is broken, throw it out, and make sure it’s always clean.
Every family member has to be able to se itself in the mirror without any strengthening.
If possible, don’t place a mirror in your bedroom, and if you must, than place it on that wall, where the headboard is. ( When you fall asleep, your soul leaves your body, but if it sees its own reflection in a mirror or mirroring object, gets scared, and goes back to your body, stopping you from having a good night rest)
Rainbow crystals,
are specially cut glass bulbs, that give your house a special shine, every time they meet the sunshine. Place them near the window and watch the rainbows 🌈 inside your house.
You can use crystal vases, Tiffany lampshades, bowls, and chandeliers made from crystals.....
- Anything, that makes a sound
Wind chime, flute, and any musical instrument
Feng Shui applies many special sounds, to revive the energy, such as Chinese gongs, small bells, wind chimes, bamboo flutes. In this modern life, we are living, we must enlist all the music instruments here as well.
Bamboo flute: They were mostly used to share positive messages. These flutes symbolize long healthy life; represent and create peace, safety, and also keep out the burglars. ( don’t substitute a closed door, or a proper alarm system ) Display them in pairs on a string, or thread.
Chinese Gongs: represent wealth.

A guitar on the wall, recalls romantic feelings. |

- Anything living
Plants and, animals
Plants in a closed space, like a house, or apartment, purify the air we breathe in, and have a positive effect on our body and soul. Their scents are stimulating and antibacterial at the same time. We have to take care of our plants, just like we would of our fellow humans, with love and devotion, and by doing so, we will increase their energies.
You can ease the Yang energy of geometric furniture, with fern.
Yin and Yang plants
Yin- short, soft, round leaves: Violet,
Yang- upward growing, spiky leaves: yucca, sansevieria
Place big plants with big leaves in your Wealth corner, in your Fame section use a big extravagant flower, to call attention, but avoid using big plants, in your Love, Knowledge, and Career corners.
The pottery should definitely not be red, and try to seed them at fall, and always water them with precooked and cooled down water.
They can hear, so play them music, talk to them, and they will thank you, with precious flowers and fruits.
By providing for a plant, you harmonize your body and soul, with nature.
The colors are also one of the nine methods which can activate the energy, but paired with flowers, open a whole new way for energy. Each color and each plant has its symbols, chose wisely.
Baobab: air purifier
Bamboo: symbol for a long life, increases creativity. A sacred plant, which can provide for your protection.
Ivy: helps you out of harsh situations, awakens positive energies
Dragon tree: even if it’s a spiked plant, has a positive effect on the environment, by degradation of chemicals from the air,
Fern: creativity booster
Begonias: create a happy environment, use only the colors you like, or chose to increase the energy of one element with the coresponding color. Produces the energy of good mood, is a natural vaporizer, and stimulates creativity.
Amaryllis: These need a lot of light, and water, and in change they bloom incredible.

Only keep healthy plant,s in your house, and be aware of the space they need and eventually will need, as they grow bigger. Its colors should be in harmony with the colors of the space you’re about to put them. Avoid crowding them by the windows. Don’t place poisonous flowers into your family and health corner like azaleas or croton, use instead Begonias.
Plastic plants, and dried flowers have a negative effect, avoid them as much as you can. If you love plastic flowers, buy some, avoiding cheep, unnatural ones, and as their are not natural, they no longer belong to the wood element. Feng Shui lists plastic to the fire element.
Avoid having sharp leafed plants, or those with spikes, like cactus, agaves.
Dieffenbachia flowers cause poisonous skin diseases, so don’t keep them.
Cut flowers need to be put in fresh water, and you have to throw them out before they die.
I just love picked flowers, specially those picked by tiny hands of a two year old- |
Animals
Feng Shui refers to most of the animals in a symbolic way.
There are some for long life, 🐢, 🐬 , 🐇 ,
Some for protection 🐻, 🐅, 🦁
And some which symbolize wealth, 🐟 🐠 .
Every animal display represents the fire element, and give a boost to the energy.
Just like you’d take care of your plants, you should do with your animals to.
In most cases, in Feng Shui, when we talk about animals, we mind the visualization of them...it’s not an everyday normal, to own a tiger, for protection.
In case of living animals, which is a really sensitive issue in the aspect of Feng Shui. We are allowed to keep animals, but we have to provide for them a natural environment, to eat, drink, and sleep in safely. Keeping wild animals captive for entertainment purposes, it's not natural. It's also not forbidden, but every such animal keeper should take notice -If you harm an animal, or any living being, in any way, it will come back to you, twice. It’s just Karma, nothing else.
- Anything moving -Keeps the energy flowing.
Everything that is in a movement, destroys the negative energy, and feeds the positive.

You can made one of paper, and place it in the middle of the room, it will move with every movement you make.
Red prayer flags keep the demons out, or negative energies if you prefer.
Moving water is ionizing the room, and the sound of water, calms the spirit,
- Anything heavy- Grounds the energy
Heavy item is something, compared to its size, is heavy.
A statue made from bronze, iron, stone; or something big, like a piano, or a safe.
Every heavy item can ground the energy, where it is put.
Example: your love corner is, your living room, you place the sofa there, you can add than love symbols to it, but if that’s not possible, than you’ve grounded the energy with the sofa already, or a heavy coffee table. The best option is to place your master bed in the love corner, but that doesn’t work always.
Our love corner, as you know, is in our child’s room, downstairs is our living room, we put the couch there.
or it’s in your kitchen...you choose a massive table, and heavy seats....
You can place your safe in your wealth corner, the large desk in your office, your grandmas old furniture in your family corner
- Anything electric
It can be destructive, and effective , so be careful.

Natural pieces of art, have the power to bring in the nature, a beautiful branch of a tree, little stones ( mostly picked up by my toddler during our walks) always create beautiful energies.
- The human itself, and those object that symbolize a respective intention
If you spend more than 4 hour in one Bagua corner, your energies will empower that area. You can also use a picture of yourself to boost a Bagua corner, make sure you chose an element related frame.
Every item that has a strong connection to you, ( as your name on the doorbell) has your energy, and is able to energize the space it can be found.
