Introducing the Feng Shui Bagua
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog. Today, I’m writing for you about the Bagua corners.
I am delighted to have you as a reader. Hopefully you find here, whatever you’re looking for, in these critical times we are forced to live in. (2020 covid19)

The rules are still the same, before you activate a Bagua corner, you need to do a complete declutter and cleaning of the area. You also have determine, which element belongs to that particular spot you’re about to activate; and only then, apply the symbols for the relevant Bagua corner. ( I have a series about the five elements, just a click away. https://modernlifefs.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-five-elements.html .)
In order to make your journey a little bit easier, I have a checklist for you. Take your time, a good Feng Shui does not come with a quick guide.
Read trough the checklist, once you’re done with everything below, you can activate a Feng Shui corner, and with a sprinkle of positive thoughts, wait for the results.
-Identify the problems of your life!
-Determine which area of your life needs the most help!
-Career, and life path
-Knowledge and skills
-Family and health
-Prosperity and abundance
-Fame and reputation
-Love and relationship
-Creativity and children
-Travel, and helpful people
-Draw a plan of your home, ( use a representative fraction )
-Draw in your windows, doors, and objects that can’t be moved, like build in furniture, pillars....
-Determine the center of your home
-Make measurements with a compass, from the center, and from the main entrance, to determine the North.
-Starting from the center, divide your plan in 8 pieces
-Like on my plan,( seen on the pictures below) write down important information, you might need during your work.
-Complete declutter the area you need to activate first.
-Determine which element dominates
-Make sure the elements are in a supportive circle.
-If there’s an abundance or absence between the elements, you can balance them, with the help of the posts about the elements, each one has its own blogpost.
-Open the windows while you’re cleaning the room, b doing so, negative energies will be able to leave the room.
And now! Use this post, and the ones that will follow, hopefully very soon, to decorate, and activate the energy in the specific area.
Surely, you would like to have something, that will tell you, what to do exactly. I’m sorry, but Feng Shui is not about the space, or the person; it is about creating a splace for the person.
Each case is individual, you have to figure out for yourself, what’s working for you, what can you, and what are you willing to do for the change.* or you can hire a Feng Shui consultant, who will do the job for you. A good one will make sure to meet you in person,and get to know you before transforming your home.( * If you send me the layout of your home, I can make you a plan, but again, that wouldn’t be one hundred percent, because I don’t know you, I don’t know what you can, or cannot do...but you can contact me anytime, and I help you however I can.)
Before I make a post about all of the Bagua areas of Feng Shui, I will include in this post small need to knows, so you can start playing with the idea, start looking for objects and items that will bring one element to life, or symbols to help you along the way.
1. Career and life path 💻
Are you happy where you are in your life right now?
You go to work every morning with a smile on your face? ( Don’t get mixed up here, almost everybody hates to wake up early in the morning, but that doesn’t mean that you hate your job to.)
You want a promotion? Or a change of profession?
A better paycheck? Maybe the atmosphere is heavy ?
You have lack of concentration, while at work, but everything seems good when you work from home?
You don’t come along with your colleagues, and would like to change that?
Well, than this is the area you should be reviewing.

2. Knowledge and skills👩🏻🎓
Do you trust your inner voice? Do you rely on your intuition?
Do you know the answer to the following questions - Who am I? -What’s my role in this life? -Which side of me needs to be revealed? By activating this Feng Shui area, your potential will reveal itself.
Do you need to quick start your brain?
Are you studying? Or maybe struggling with your studies?
Are you a reader? A writer?
If you feel like anything related to the learning process, knowledge, the improvement of the skill set, or intuition self trust is out of place, than prioritize this area. The element that dominates this area is the earth. https://modernlifefs.blogspot.com/2020/02/five-elements-earth.html

3. Family and health 👨👩👧
Family it’s the core of our existence. The most important human beings of our life, our family and our friends, all the people we love and care for, our fur family; the dogs, cats, and all the other tiny creatures we adore and care for, are represented by this area. So in case your relationship is not functioning like it should with any of these people, than you might consider having a closer look to this area of your home.
Your general health! Do you want to protect your family from diseases? How does your mental health keeping up with this situation? (Covid ) Maybe you need a little help, so you can start eating healthy? Loosing weight? Starting some sport?
All of these, are also represented by this Feng Shui area.

4. Prosperity and abundance A.K.A. Money corner 💰
One word: wealth !
Yes, by activating this area of your home, you can improve your financial status,( not by winning the lottery overnight, as matter of fact this is not excluded either ) by guiding you gently.
Normally I would be writing something like - if you need money....but.... Who doesn’t need more money? Anyways, this area of your home represents your financial situation.

Well, money doesn’t make you wealthy! Spiritual wealth is more than any money could buy, and this is also represented by this area, so make sure you decorate with wood or water elements in this corner of your house. Who knows, maybe you’ll receive a new book to read, that will increase your mind, and make you the richest person ever; because those who read, are the most wealthy.
5. Fame and reputation 👑
Want to become famous?
You want to be remembered for the things you do in your life?
Your social life needs a boost?
You seek the admiration of people?
Maybe there’s some negative gossip around the neighborhood, about you? Are you the talk of the town?
Own a business, that needs to be known by people?
All this, and more, are represented by the fire element. The smallest sparkle can ignite and feed the fire, like your reputation, just the right amount of boost, and you ignite, like the firefly in the night.
6. Love and relationship 👩❤️👨
You’re looking for the love of your life?
Desire to be loved and appreciated?
Or maybe marriage issues, lack of communication with your spouse ?
Want to spice up your love life?
Are you lonely?
Hard time learning to love and accept yourself? Self love is just as much important as the love of other people.
You want to make new friends, or build up a closer relationship with your family?
The relationship with your neighbors, work colleagues, or business partners, can also be defined by this Bagua corner.
If anything related to the topics I mentioned, hopefully included everything important, than you need to clean, declutter and activate the love corner of your house. No matter which room is there, it does not have to be your bedroom, but it surely would be ideal. Even worst case scenarios, like a bathroom or a storage room, can be optimized, to obtain a good energy flow.

7. Creativity and children🎼
Creativity blockades? Lack of inspiration?
No new ideas?
Can’t come trough, to have a conversation with your teenager?
Want to become a child? Problems getting pregnant?
This specific area needs to be activated in case you need to reach out to your creativity, back to the innocent child you once were. Nothing is more inspiring than the wild open mind of a child, only children can look at the world without prejudices, and with curiosity.

8. Travel, and helpful people (or patrons)🧚🏻♀️
Who wouldn’t like to travel more? See the wide big world, meet new people, new cultures and traditions...
Or you’d like to try your luck in a foreign country,to maybe earn a little bit more money?
The journey of your life, the path you’re going can be shaped by activating this area.
The helpful people or patrons can be interpreted in many different forms.
Who are the patrons of your life? You have anyone you can rely on,no matter what?
Are you in need of spiritual guiding?
You feel left alone with no support from family and friends?
If you allow more chi to come into this area, than you might as well change these situations, to the better. This Feng Shui corner is also connected to the metal element, the link to it you’ll find if you scroll up a bit.
Just like you go to the doctors office, and have a scan, an x-ray, or any examination,to determine what makes you feel unwell; you can now make an inspection of your home, live or work environment, to determine, where is the blockade, that prevents you to have a happy life.
I decided to start this blog, and share my knowledge, to be here for all of you, whenever you need help during this process of change.
