Feng Shui Bagua- Wealth and money corner
The time has come, to talk a little about the Money Bagua Corner. I believe many of my readers, are anxiously waiting for this one, and probably this will become one of the most read ones too.
After all, wealth is something what, almost every human being is looking for.
And if you say, that money can’t buy happiness, that money is not the most important to have in life, I will say, you are completely right!
By now you know, that Feng Shui is not concluded to one word, you read or hear, it has always several meanings, and the wealth corner is no exemption from that.
The deeper meaning of this area, is the inner wealth. Learning to be grateful for all that you are given, and to have the inner power to overcome the difficulties you are faced with.
The Feng Shui Wealth corner, ( or on common language, money corner ) is not exclusively responsible for a better financial status, it plays an important role in one person’s character.
By activating this section, you are weakening the universal energy, and in return you become rich in as many different ways, as you can think of.
Obviously It won’t come, and hand you over a bag full of money, but will contribute in several ways to a brighter financial status;
-Your soul will be filled with positive vibrations, that you are able to share with the people around you. The more happiness surrounds you, the more power you have to keep on going, and keep on working hard, and, you eventually will earn more at your job, or are able to make a profitable change.
-Your intellectual wisdom will grow, without being overload with useless information. You will be able to learn easier, and become a valuable partner for your boss, a higher paycheck may come along!
-Your heart will be fulfilled with love, when you have love, you have everything! The growth of the family, is also wealth, just think of all those couples, who won’t become parents or if so, only with struggles ( not to mention the costs of infertility) so you, becoming your fourth child, you are a rich person in many people eyes.
The activation of this Bagua corner, will definitely add something to your life, you need to be specific, in your thoughts, when you’re working on this section, so you can build your desire into the decorations of your home!
Maybe your cost will reduce, or your income will grow, or you just gain experience, or receive opportunities; anyhow, this area can bring you much more than money!
Every person has a different opinion of money, there are ones, who would do anything for it, and others hate the fact that money exist in the first place, you can think whatever you want, but in our society we need money. We have bills to pay, groceries, clothing and several different items to buy. So we have a life, where we work for a living, and until you are not living for your work, your life is in balance, maybe reading these lines, will give you a few tips, on how to be grateful for all you have.
As I said in my earlier posts as well, you start by identifying your needs, by now you know, what a Bagua map is, sure you have your plan in front of you, all divided as slices of a cake...if not, than would be better to check out some of my previous post before you jump into this one! I always say, there’s no right or wrong, in Feng Shui, but sure, there are some basic steps you should not skip, if you want the outcome to be favorable for you.
I’ll link you down below a fewer my older posts, you should definitely read, but feel free to read as much as you need.
- First of all you need to make a Bagua map of your home and define where the wealth corner is.
Here you can find information about the Bagua

- You need to give a good clean of the spot you’re about to work on, and declutter if needed! Piled up clutter stays in the way of the energy flow.

- Yin Yang ☯️ helps you to find the perfect balance of the energies

- The five elements give grounding to Feng Shui, it is one of the first things we consider when we want to activate a Bagua corner
- -https://modernlifefs.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-five-elements.html
- This area is represented by the Wood element, and instead of constantly repeating myself, I’ll just link it for you to read through.
When you are activating a corner which is represented by wood, you basically use symbols and colors from that element, so I find it important to learn about the elements itself, and not just sharing some symbols with you.
- Now you probably know, that the fire element would burn the wood element, and it is not recommend to add decorations belonging to it! But!! Fire, and the color Red, attract energy, and if you’re trying to attract money 💰, you can use the red color in this area, but only minimal, because you sure don’t want to lose all you’ve worked for in your life.
- Just as logical as it sound, water feeds the wood. You can follow the link and learn about the water element, and use its symbols to attract more energy into this area.
- The most adequate purpose for this area of your home is your home office, the kitchen and pantry, or if you have so, the library or study.
- Try to use as much wooden furniture as possible, and by that I precisely mean, the natural wooden ones, instead of painted wood. A glass table or glass doors on cabinets are just as effective, as they represent the water element.
- I suppose, no one wants a room, where the dominant color is green, blue or turquoise, unless is a teenagers room or so; don’t worry, you don’t have to, you can always use black, or dark blue like Navy, Denim, or even indigo blue. ( colors of the water element) of course feel free to use your creativity, and if you like so, paint your walls in the astonishing colors of the galaxy 🌌 or ocean waves ( never in the bedroom) .
- Nowadays there are so many beautiful glass, and crystal chandeliers, you might want to purchase one for this area, or ones with branches and flowers, I’ll just give you a few links to Pinterest where you can find some of the most beautiful ones.

- The best way to increase wealth, may that be physical or intellectual, is to use mirrors which have the ability to multiply objects. There are some beautiful ones at IKEA, this one with its wooden frame, would fit perfectly for this corner, ( it has to fit into your hone decoration as well)
- A mirror above your dining table will create the illusion of abundance, as all reflected in the mirror seems much more, than in reality. And as the energy is created ( the energy of abundance) it will spread fulfilling the entire environment, in conclusion, the abundance will become reality.
- Mirrors are the most beloved Feng Shui accessory to work with, because the many different ways it can guide the energy. ( I have a post where you can read a little bit more about mirrors, and there you’ll find many items and objects to work with https://modernlifefs.blogspot.com/2020/06/how-to-activate-energy-short-post.html
- Plants, specially green and healthy ones, are a great way to create abundance
- Fix all your leaky taps, they symbolize wealth leaking from your home. Just as a foot note here: keep your toilets closed, to avoid “leaking”
- Fish are the symbol for money, display them only if you truly like them. I can’t imagine a fish painting on my walls for sure, but I could make peace with an aquarium; and just in case you’re wondering, dolphins and whales are not fish that would fit here, because they don’t have the scales, that represent the money.
- Glass vases with green plants, and flower arrangements would fit this room perfectly
- Cascading bowls, fountains, aquariums represent the water, and are in constant movement, they are a real powerful way to attract money.
- You can make beautiful center pieces, use materials that represent the wood element and your creativity.
- Buddha statues are a general way to increase energy, legends say that touching the belly of the Buddha will bring you luck and wealth
- Jade, Amber, Citrine, are only a few from the natural crystals that have the ability to increase wealth
- Goldfish represent the wealth achieved through honest work,
- Turtles, frogs and elephants are also used to symbolize wealth
- In case you can’t afford a fountain, you can display art about water; pictures, paintings of water itself - like Victoria Falls, or my personal favorite, Iceland’s Skogafoss Waterfall ( if you saw “Thor: The dark world “ then you know what I’m talking about .) water in motion is the best way create the energy, but you can use ocean waves, or rivers as well; try not to display a water with zero movement, that would stop the energy flow.
- Sparkling objects! Feel free to use as many as you feel comfortable with. The energy loves the sparkles, just so much as loves colors and sounds! Use your imagination and chose items that bring YOU joy in the first place.
- The best place for your home safe, your piggy bank, every expensive object you own, ( jewelry or antiques)
- Arowana fish, is also called wealth fish, it’s a fish originated from Asia; can be gold, silver or black, these fish need a water temperature of 28C
- A frog with a coin in its mouth, also symbol for wealth, it should not face the entrance, place it as it would be coming into your house.
- Bind 3 coins with red strings, and put in on the inner side you main door, to keep the mine in the house
I hope you have found a few interesting tips in here, or at least a bit of inspiration to start your own Feng Shui project.
As usual I show you, how I designed and decorated the specific area in my Own Home.
The worst place my money corner could find, was the main bathroom on the second floor. We designed, and renovated our houses with my hubby together, we know that the bath will be in the money corner, but that’s not a total disaster, because I know how to balance that, and avoid money leaving our house. Each drain, where water leaves the house is a enemy for the water energy, in a bathroom we have plenty of those, so that’s why is not advised to have a bathroom in your money corner.
Anyways, we did it, and honestly, we don’t have a problem with it, the office/ music room gives me more headache as the bathroom.
The build in bathtub is big and heavy, these aspects definitely belong to the earth element, that keeps the water from leaking.
I use mainly green towels, and have few scented candles, also green, on the side. I like it, love it, and use it frequently, we have a great bath time in here, with our toddler.
As I said it just earlier, the bigger headache I have from our office and music room.
It was our “lockdown project”, and lucky we are halfway through, we said goodbye to the old furniture, which I totally hated, and spend a lot of time decluttering.
The Feng Shui aspect of the room is totally ok, we chose black desk, and cabinets with glass doors, to give the right amount of water energy to the room, ( obviously I can’t design a green room for a death metal guitarists music room can’t I) and that’s basically where we stand right now. We need to paint the room ( something between royal and navy blue, probably mixed with a tiny amount of grey for the final color to be as we want it, something similar to Benjamin Moore’s Gentleman’s Gray), and find a perfect spot for each item we have in there. Currently the desk serves as a kind of home studio, with a lot of cables and devices. Regardless of the mess in this room, I’ll share a picture, this is the empire of an artist, and artists are messy.
I would give you a few links , where you can learn to deal with your money, how to spend less, how to don’t go over your budget, check these videos out on you tube.
If you approach this lifestyle open minded; good things will come to you.🕉
P.S.
